Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves Overnight

Explore the Blue Mountains as you bushwalk to amazing lookouts and spot native animals in the wild before resting at the award winning Katoomba YHA. Day 2 will see you will a new group, visiting the Jenolan Caves and joining a guided Cave tour.

Visit the award winning Featherdale Wildlife Park where you can get your photo taken with a koala and feed the kangaroos.

We have a simple Aussie picnic lunch with different options to suit everyone's tastes and dietary requirements.

We do two good bushwalks where you will see massive waterfalls, ancient rainforests and Aussie bushland where you will learn about the local flora and fauna.

Stay overnight in dorm share accommodation at Katoomba YHA.

Located on the western side of the Blue Mountains, the Jenolan Caves are stunning. Join a guided tour of the Lucas Cave, the most amazing of all the caves systems with wide caverns, an underground river and the popular limestone formation, The Broken Column.  See wild kangaroos and stop at the Three Sisters and Govett's Leap, this day trip is full of incredible experiences.

Day 1 : Sydney - Blue Mountains
Visit the Blue Mountains National Park where our eco pass accreditation allows us to take you on amazing bushwalks walks through the national park with waterfalls, cliff stairs and rainforest. Take a morning visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you will see koalas up close, hand feed kangaroos and see a 4 metre crocodile at this award winning park. See the Three Sisters rock formation and hear Aboriginal stories and see this famous rock formation overlooking the Jamison Valley Enjoy a picnic lunch made with fresh local produce to satisfy your mountain appetite. Join a guided bushwalk down the Furber Steps cut into the side of the cliff and into the valley surrounded by rainforest, see waterfalls and stunning views of valley. This walk is next to Scenic World where you will have the option to save your energy and take the world's steepest railway back to the top (own expense). As the tour comes to an end, you will be dropped off at the award winning Katoomba YHA. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening exploring the town on your own or meet other travellers and share stories.

Day 2 : Blue Mountains - Sydney
After breakfast, join a new group as you descend deeper into the Blue Mountains region, visiting the Jenolan Caves. When you arrive be sure to take a short walk to the Blue Lake, a mysterious aqua coloured lake which is the result of minerals seeping through the limestone caves surrounding it. Lunch is at your own expense from Jenolan Caves House or you can bring your own. A trained, local guide will meet you and take you on a guided tour of the Lucas Caves, the largest of all the cave systems at Jenolan. The sounds and sights that you will encounter will surprise and thrill you. Back above ground, be sure to look out for native animals and birds that call this area home. We will even take you to a secret location where kangaroos graze and you can see them up close. We return to Sydney via Govett’s Leap for stunning views of the Grose Valley.

7.10am - Kings Cross – Holiday Inn, 203 Victoria St

7.25am - Central – St Laurence Church, 812 George St

7.45am - Circular Quay – The Obelisk, Macquarie Place Park, cnr Loftus & Bridge St

**Drop off at Katoomba YHA approx. 3pm

Day 2 from Blue Mountains:

Katoomba YHA 10.30am

Return to Sydney @ approx. 7pm

Scenic Railway
