Taronga Zoo Sydney: Entry
Overlooking magnificent Sydney Harbour, Taronga Zoo is just 12 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay and offers amazing wildlife experiences with stunning harbourside views. Nestled on the shores of the world's most beautiful harbour, Taronga Zoo is surrounded by lush bushland of Bradleys Head National Park, popular for early morning walks. Ferries depart from Circular Quay every 30 minutes.
Taronga Zoo is open daily - 365 days a year. October to March: 9.30am to 5.00pm April to September: 9.30am to 4.30pm. The Sky Safari cable car operates daily from 9.30am (weather permitting). Use of the Sky Safari is included in the ticket price. Captain Cook Cruises operate cruise transfers every 45 minutes from Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Manly Fast Ferry operate additional hop on hop off cruises from Darling Harbour and Circular Quay and also provide a direct cruise transfer from Taronga Zoo to Manly Beach.
The Zoo has many popular trails to explore including the Australian Walkabout, Reptile World, Tiger Trek, Great Southern Oceans, Kids Trail, and Rainforest Trail. Not to be missed are our famous Seal Show Theatre and the iconic must-see Free Flight Bird Show. Zoo entry includes daily keeper talks and presentations, daily shows and access to the Sky Safari cable car. Up close Animal Encounters with a souvenir photo can be purchased on arrival for an additional fee.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a sun hat, sun screen and occasionally you may need wet weather clothing as Taronga Zoo operates in all weather conditions. Reusable water bottles can be filled at Taronga Zoo using the newly installed drinking water bubblers/fountains in the zoo grounds. Taronga Zoo visitor facilities include an information desk, ATM, lockers, gift shops, cable car, dedicated ferry wharf, onsite First Aid office, parents room, accessible toilets, drinking water bubblers, cafes, a large food court, take away fish and chips and picnic areas.
The many exhibits in Taronga Zoo can be reached by footpaths, ramps, lifts and escalators. Ninety percent of Taronga Zoo is fully accessible. Strollers can be hired from the Visitor Information Desk in the main entrance at a small fee and manual wheelchairs can be rented for free and should be booked in advance. Multistorey parking is available at Taronga Zoo. Entry to the car park is from Bradleys Head Road. A parking fee of $18 is payable for full day parking. Limited street parking is available for full day parking. Taronga Zoo admission tickets are valid on the day of entry/use only.

Taronga Zoo is open 365 days of the year including Christmas Day and New Years Day. Opening hours: Winter 9.30am - 4.30pm, Summer 9.30am - 5pm. Transfer to/from Taronga Zoo are not included in your ticket.
